Criminal Disclosure Reforms 30th Nov 2020: Important information for employers
Below is a link to the Scottish Government release regarding Part 2 of the Management of Offenders ( Scotland) Act 2019 . HR and Recruitment need to get organised so that they are prepared for when they come into effect.
Some of the changes for example
- For those over 18 at time of conviction given a 6 month custodial sentence, the disclosure period is reduced to 2.5 years from the current 7 years
- A fine will be considered spent after 12 months rather than the current 5 years.
